Photo Gallery - Terms and Conditions of Use

Images provided by individuals or organisations may be used on the UKLakes website at the discretion of the webmaster. Images may not be used if deemed unsuitable. By providing an image the provider is agreeing to the terms and conditions set out on this page. Copyright resides with the image provider.

Image providers are asked to provide text for a credit. If no credit is given then the image will be credited to 'UKLakes 2009' (or year of upload).

Images may be NOT be downloaded by a third party and used for commercial gain under ANY circumstances - this includes use of images in professional web or graphic design. Images where the copyright is ECRC may be downloaded for personal or non-commercial use but the image credit must be displayed alongside the image. If images are to be used on a personal website we also ask that a link be provided back to http://www.uklakes.net and the photographers credit be shown alongside the image.

Where copyright lies with an individual or organisation other than the ECRC permission for use must be sought from the image provider. Please contact us for further details.

We sometimes use images of lakes and lochs we find on the web but only where there is no explicit copyright information which excludes us from doing so. Furthermore, we always credit and link back to the originating site. If you believe we have breached copyright on an image that you own please contact us immediately.
